地域史의 記憶과 復元: 趙武彬의 『李在守 實記(夜月의 漢拏山)』 補論

Examining Jo Moo-bin’s “Lee Jae-soo’s Sill gi”

초록

This article presents an examination of Cho Moo-bin’s “Lee Jae-soo’s Sill gi.” First, it was has been suggested that the this book was not published as a book based entirely on Lee Soon-ok’s dictation. “Lee Jae-soo’s Sill gi Practical Skill” was produced with the aim to “Lee Jae-soo’s Rebellion,” which was conducted by Confucian scholars from Jeju Island who worked in Osaka, Japan. Second, this book was titled “Practical Technology” and described content closer to the theory of complaint, based on the utility and ripple effect of “novel.” Finally, “Lee Jae-soo’s Practical Skills” was linked to the influence of Confucian scholars who worked in Jeju Island, thereby suggesting how their perceptions were revealed in the work. Therefore, “Lee Jae-soo’s Sill gi” was not considered insufficient as a historical record, but it has been suggested that Joseon-era Confucian scholars considered this book as one of the ways to overcome the national crisis and ensure the justification of Wijeong Cheoksa. This book was produced with the intention to summon Lee Jae-soo and inform him of the present meaning through the efforts of the Confucian scholars of the time, as well as the sincerity and efforts of Lee Soon-ok and Cho Moo-bin. Future studies must focus on examining the meaning of this book and presenting various perspectives.
