부모 지지, 문화지능, 다문화 수용성 및 학교적응 간의 구조적 관계: 다문화교육 정책학교 초등학생을 중심으로

초록

The study examined the structural relationships between parental support, cultural intelligence, multicultural acceptance and school adjustment. The participants were 452 elementary school students of grades 5th and 6th in Seoul, Korea. Results were as follows. Parental support showed positive correlations with cultural intelligence, multicultural acceptance, and school adjustment. Cultural intelligence showed positive correlations with multicultural acceptance and school adjustment. Also, multicultural acceptance showed positive correlations with school adjustment. There were significant differences between immigrant and non-immigrants students in parental support and school adjustment. Parental support directly influenced school adjustment and indirectly influenced school adjustment through cultural intelligence and multicultural acceptance. These findings imply that parental support, cultural intelligence, and multicultural acceptance play important roles in school adjustment. It is expected that the results of this study will serve as fundamental data to enhance multicultural education policies.
