신해체주의 관점에서 뎀나 바잘리아 패션디자인의 미적 특성에 관한 연구

초록

This study aims to examine Demna Gvasalia's fashion design, which has attracted attention for its completely different design from the existing fashion and is gaining popularity through collaboration with various brands, from the perspective of neolism and understand the aesthetic characteristics of contemporary fashion design. The purpose of the study is, first, to define the concept of neo-decompositionism from the perspective of fashion and to establish the possibility and methodology of this study through the understanding of fashion designer Demnya Vazalia. Second, we examine the design cases of Demna Gvasalia, focusing on the brands he worked for, Vetements and Balenciaga, and categorize their characteristics. Third, from the perspective of neo-decompositionism, the aesthetic characteristics of Demna Gvasalia fashion design are derived. Accordingly, the conclusions of the study are as follows. First, Demna Gvasalia's design was able to categorize the case from the perspective of neo-decompositionism and showed the characteristics of communication, playfulness, and pluralism. In other words, Demna Gvasalia's fashion design reflected the lifestyle and needs of MZ generation consumers, pursued newness and interest-inducing fun, and showed characteristics encompassing various elements of time, age, gender, race, and status. This study is of academic significance in that it proposed a methodology to interpret the difficult-to-understand phenomenon of modern fashion, which is diversifying from various perspectives.
