The Effect of 3D Core Training on the Body Balance and Driver Distance of University Golfers

초록

[Purpose] The purpose of core training using the Air Balance System 3D equipment is to examine the effect of core training on physical balance and driver distance of university golfers and to present efficient training methods for training and performance improvement. [Method] Core training was conducted for male college golfers three times a week for four weeks. Two groups were compared and analyzed by measuring the driver distance factors (total distance, smash factor, ball speed, club speed) and body balance of the Training Group (TG) and Control Group (CG). [Result] The groups involved in core training showed improvement on the main factors for driver distance involving total distance, smash factor, and ball speed and were statistically significant in the interaction effects of groups and time. In addition, the body balance measurements have resulted to improvement in range of motion of the main body segments (eight directions). [Conclusion] Core training using 3D equipment is effective in increasing driver distance and improving balance of college golf players. Based on this, a 3D core training program that considers various training intensity and duration to improve golf player's performance in the future should be presented.
