신용협동조합의 책임성 결정요인: 사회적 기업 관점에서의 접근

초록

Despite the social responsibility of credit unions, only its for-profit role as a local financial institution is highlighted. Moreover, only a small amount of research has empirically examined the determinants of credit unions’ economic and social responsibilities. Under the circumstances, this study attempted to analyze the factors that affect both the economic and social responsibilities of credit unions from the perspective of social enterprises. Through structural equation modeling(SEM), it was found that as leadership, transparency, financial soundness, and cooperation increase, members’ trust in unions increases. In addition, credit unions’ economic and social responsibility improves, as member participation, cooperation, and trust increase. Further, economic responsibility improves, as leadership is promoted. Drawing on these findings, this study suggested important implications for strengthening credit unions’ trust and accountability.
