A Trends Analysis of Research on Early Childhood Teachers’ Resilience Using Keyword Network Analysis

초록

This study examined research trends on the resilience of early childhood teachers in Korea using keyword network analysis. A total of 313 studies-including journal articles published in KCI―listed or candidate journals and theses from 2010 to May 2024―along with 238 keywords were selected for analysis. The findings are as follows. First, research on early childhood teachers’ resilience gradually increased, with notable growth around 2014 and 2019. Second, the most frequently appearing and co-occurrence keywords were primarily related to early childhood teachers’ professional duties, with studies focusing particularly on childcare teachers. Third, analysis of the keyword network’s basic properties revealed high levels of average connection strength and clustering coefficient, indicating that research was conducted on overlapping themes. Fourth, across all measures of network centrality-degree centrality, closeness centrality, and betweenness centrality the keyword “childcare teacher” consistently exhibited the highest centrality. Fifth, comprehensive centrality analysis showed that the keywords “mediating effect” and “moderating effect” also demonstrated high centrality. This study contributes to the field by identifying research trends in resilience closely linked to the professional practice of early childhood teachers and suggests future directions for research on teacher resilience.
