초록

Purpose The purpose of this study is to explore winning experiences of Online World Taekwondo Poomsae Competition(OWTPC) for Taekwondo players. Method Data were collected through semi-constructed in-depth interview with 4 winners at OWTPC, and then analyzed using theme analysis. Results All winners at OWTPC felt frustration due to the change of competition method, but prepared OWTPC with customized training and practice strategies having new hopes. They experienced ‘Drama with scenario’ at preliminary and semi-final matches, and ‘live broadcast’ at final match using online streaming. Moreover, they felt badly about ‘Online award ceremony’ and expressed very unique meanings for their victories. Conclusion All winners at OWTPC had various experiences before, during and post OWTPC. This study would contribute to development for next OWTPC.
