한중 FTA의 경제적 효과와 양국의 FTA 추진전략 비교

초록

A Free Trade Agreement(FTA) which abolishes trade barriers, such as tariffs, guarantees free movement of goods and economic growth through the creation of trade. The establishment of a FTA between Korea and China is currently under consideration. The Korea-China FTA expects to allow Korea easy access to a huge market and restrain trade conflict between two countries, which will in turn increase Korea’s exports and foreign investment to China. The paper attempts to analyze the effects of the Korea-China FTA and compare their strategic approaches toward a FTA. It implies that although the Korea-China FTA will bring huge economic benefits, more cautious approaches should be taken in account to minimize risks and costs of the FTA.
