초록

The purpose of this study is to explore policy directions for supporting digital literacy to reduce the digital divide and facilitate the smooth utilization of digital healthcare services among the elderly. To achieve this, the study analyzes the evolution of the digital healthcare industry and its current status both domestically and internationally, extracting the characteristics of advanced digital healthcare countries and identifying areas for improvement in the domestic industry. Additionally, the study examines the current state of elderly health policies in Korea to derive key policy goals and future directions. By synthesizing and discussing the results of these analyses, the study derives four policy directions aimed at enhancing digital literacy, necessary for the elderly in Korea to actively utilize digital healthcare services. First, digital health literacy education targeting the elderly is necessary. Second, it is essential to improve awareness, search, and accessibility of health information in government policies. Third, a certification system for interfaces tailored to the elderly is required. Fourth, measures to strengthen the security of health information for the elderly must be established.
