산학일체형 도제학교의 효과성 분석: 취업률 및 학업중단율 효과를 중심으로

초록

Vocational education is a major policy tool for increasing youth employment and social integration in OECD countries. With the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the importance of vocational education is growing. This study analyzes the effect of the Work-Study Apprentice Schooling Program, one of the most important programs in high school vocational education. In order to isolate the causal impact of the policy, we conducted difference-in-differences analysis, one of the quasi-experimental methods actively used nowadays. The results show that the program was not effective in promoting the employment rate. Furthermore, the policy was ineffective as to reducing school dropouts. Based on the analysis results, we discuss ways to improve the effectiveness of Work-Study Apprentice Schooling Program.
