『백두산』 개작에 대한 연구
초록
The aim of this study is to closely examine the matter and the contents of adaptation from Jo Gi-Cheon's long epic poetry, 『Mt. Baekdu』and to clarify the an aspect difference of the adaptation. 『Mt. Baekdu』, which was adapted depending on the internal and external political changes in North Korea shows a big difference in the contents and the interpretations at each edition. In the edition『Mt. Baekdu』published from 1947 to 1959, the Soviet Union was presented as the origin and the leading role in North Korean liberation which was much the most important issue in North Korea. However, in the edition 『Mt. Baekdu』 published from 1973 to 1987, the contents related to the Soviet Union was deleted and ,furthermore, Kim Il Sung, the anti-Japanese partizan was replaced. This adaptation from the original 『Mt. Baekdu』 is the result that took place as part of the North Korean Literary policy. In the process of the North's Juche (self-reliance), the tradition of anti-Japanese revolution was the most highly regarded. In the 1990s, the world situation rapidly changed. In an attempt to get through the isolated situation, North Korea started improving diplomatic relations with the Soviet Union and solidifying the North's Juche (self-reliance). The edition 『Mt. Baekdu』between the 1990s and the 2000s described North Korean literature's conflicts between the North's Juche (self-reliance) philosophy based on Juche literary theory and international society solidarity. 『Mt. Baekdu』 not only demonstrates the real stories of the North but also confirms the current of the changes in North Korean literature.
