말뭉치 분석을 통한 접속부사의 결속 단위 고찰

This study is to investigate binding aspects of connective adverbs, e.g., ‘geu-’ adverbs, through corpus analysis. In particular, it will focus on the language unit and the level where adverbs including ‘geu-’ carry out the function of connectives in text.The connective adverbs should be studied in pragmatic contexts of the whole text because they are the unit of function in text. I investigated binding aspects of the connective adverbs, based on corpus data, and the results are as follows: the connective adverbs used in a sentence is 6.32%; the connective adverbs between sentences is 10.46%; connection between groups of several sentences is 77.46%; connection between paragraphs is 5.76%. In other words, the frequencies show that the connective adverbs strongly carry out the function of binding on the higher level than sentence, i.e., discourse level. These results of my research indicate that the connective adverbs are a unit between contexts rather than a unit between sentences.
