초록

The numbers of career counseling teachers have been increased these days to strengthen the quality of counseling education at the national level in Korea. Despite this, few studies have conducted to examine the job competencies that are required for career counseling teachers. Thus, the purpose of this article was to identify counselling teacher’s duties by using the DACUM. For this, the previous literatures on counseling teachers’ roles and duties were firstly examined. Based on the findings from the literature reviews, DACUM committee determined counselling teacher's duties and tasks. A survey instrument was also developed to measure perceptions about both current and needed level for the identified tasks. Findings show 14 duties and 109's tasks for the career counselling teachers after the analyses of Borich and the locus for focus model. Implications are suggested to improve career counseling teachers competencies.
