초록

Nitric oxide (NO) is an unstable, short-lived, and potentially toxic radical that is produced upon oxidation of L-arginine by nitric oxide synthase (NOS). NO is highly reactive, and plays an important role as intercellular messenger in diverse physiologic processes, such as regulation of blood flow, neurotransmitters, and platelet aggregation.
