페미니즘 영화에 나타난 여주인공의 이미지 표상과 패션 상징성 연구

초록

This study is about the image representation and fashion symbolism of the female protagonists in feminism films, and is aimed at understanding the women's images and messages representing the era through fashion in feminism films. The purpose of the study, first, proves the validity of the relationship between feminism movies and fashion through the understanding of feminism theory. Second, the image representation of the female protagonists in feminism films is categorized, and the basis for classification is presented by analyzing fashion cases accordingly. Third, it derives the symbolism of fashion according to the image representation of the female protagonists in feminism films. The results of this study are as follows. First, feminism movies and fashion appeared as important visual media for understanding the image of modern women. In addition, feminism films were classified into films that accused women of sexual damage and violence in a male-centered society, films in the process of finding women's subjectivity, and films in which women are emphasized as heroes. And in feminist films, the female protagonists represents liberal, radical, and postmodern images, and the resulting fashion symbolism was derived from male imitation fashion that resisted social inequality, feminine fashion that emphasizes self-reliance, and fashion that coexists with two-sided values as humans. From a feminist point of view, movies and fashion were conveying the message by reflecting women's human rights and roles in various ways.
