전자조달시스템을 이용한 건설산업의 B2B 전자상거래에서 자재공급자의 신뢰 및 거래의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 탐색적 연구

초록

As construction companies grow large in size, the ability to procure building materials in a systematic and efficient manner is becoming a pressing concern. One common approach that companies use today to address this concern is a business to business(B2B) electronic procurement system. From the standpoint of a construction company doing business using such a system, trust in their suppliers often plays a key role in making decisions on purchasing materials. This paper aims at identifying the factors that influence supplier trust and transaction intentions in B2B electronic commerce in the construction industry, and at offering propositions on the relationships between each of these factors and supplier trust. We conducted interviews with procurement employees at the 5 major construction companies in Korea to ensure that our propositions are consistent with the real-world cases. The findings indicate that reputation, firm size, expertise, and system stability all affect trust in a supplier which affects transaction intentions, while risk is not related to transaction intentions. Based on the findings, the paper suggests a research model and a set of hypotheses for future research, and offers some implications useful when construction material suppliers build trust for their buyers.
