중국 감 방언권 학습자의 한국어 어두 파열음 음성적 특징 연구

초록

This study investigates the pronunciation characteristics of Korean word-initial stops of learners from the Chinese Gan dialect area and proposes improvements in pronunciation education for such learners. An experiment was conducted for Korean speakers, Mandarin Chinese learners, and learners of those who speak the Gan dialect. Voice onset time (VOT) and the pitch value of the point following the vowel(F0) were considered as factors, which are important acoustic qualities that distinguish between the Korean stops. Comparative analysis of VOT revealed that the lenis and fortis stops of the Gan dialect area learners were longer than those of the other two groups. Regarding the bilabial and alveolar of the aspirated stops, the VOT appeared longer than that learners of Chinese Mandarin speakers, but there was no significant difference with Korean speakers. The velar of the aspirated stops was smaller than that of Korean speakers, but longer than that learners of Chinese Mandarin speakers. Comparative analysis of F0 showed that, in the case of lenis stops, the learners of Gan dialect area learners were higher than those of Korean speakers and Chinese Mandarin speakers, but were lower than the other two groups in terms of aspirated and fortis stops. Thus, learners in the Gan dialect area of China are influenced by the Gan dialect and develop different pronunciation characteristics from those of Mandarin learners. In China, dialects are commonly used in daily life. Due to this, the differences in pronunciation between learners deserve attention. Therefore, in Korean pronunciation education for Chinese learners, more efficient pronunciation education can be expected if the learner’s dialectal circle as an influencing factor is also considered.
