초록

Energy saving standards for buildings have already been significantly improved, and the insulation standards for apartment housing have reached the passive house level. To achieve the carbon-neutral goal by 2050, more efforts are needed than in the past to save energy in buildings as the government recently announced an increase in its target. From this point of view, PCM is expected to be useful in the future. As a basic research stage to apply PCM to buildings, this study investigated the applied technology and energy saving effect through domestic and foreign research. Applied technologies were classified into passive and active technologies. In the case of passive application technology, it is a method that combines PCM with structures such as walls, roofs, and floors, and has the effect of saving heating and cooling energy by reducing peak loads. Active technology could be used in various systems such as free cooling systems, ventilation systems, HVAC, and renewable energy systems, and had the effect of increasing the operating efficiency of each system or improving the efficiency of a heat storage device.
