트라클의 노발리스 수용 연구 - 「노발리스에게」의 개작 과정을 중심으로
초록
Austrian Expressionist poet Georg Trakl's To Novalis is an unfinished posthumous work. A total of three manuscripts remain. To Novalis is not a serialized poem. It is not a series of related poems written under the theme of Novalis. Nor is it a trilogy. It is divided into three parts, but the themes are not interconnected to form a unified work. The purpose of this paper is to prove three theses by carefully analyzing the process and aspects of the rewriting of To Novalis. First, To Novalis is Trakl's response to Novalis's life, Novalis's literature as a representative of Romanticism, and Novalis's poetics and aesthetics. Second, To Novalis is a memorial to death of Novalis and a prophecy of Trakl's own tragic fate. Third, as the work progresses, Trakl's internalization of Novalis becomes more apparent. For him, rewriting is more than a rhetorical search for a better word or a more beautiful sentence. For him, rewriting is a painstaking process of self-discovery. Through Novalis, Trakl gazes into his own mind.
