The pore structure of pervious concrete is crucial for effective water infiltration and directly impacts clogging phenomena. Vibrations from vehicle traffic pose significant challenges to the performance of pervious concrete, particularly regarding the stability of its pore structure, clogging resistance, and overall durability. These vibrations complicate the internal pore structure, sedimentation patterns, and clogging mechanisms, underscoring the need for further investigation. Traditional studies primarily focus on non-vibration conditions, failing to adequately address the dynamic effects of vibrations. This study establishes a clogging simulation framework for porous media using a coupled particle flow code-computational fluid dynamic (PFC-CFD) method to analyze the distribution characteristics and morphological changes of clogging in pervious concrete under vibration conditions. It incorporates a particle size distribution analysis of clogging particles based on field investigations to simulate the blockage development process. The research examines the effects of pore structures, aggregate grading, porosity, the number of clogging particles, and vibration frequency on pore clogging diffusion, complemented by simulation experiments on seepage behavior conducted through EDEM software (2023.1). The results reveal that factors such as double-layer pore structure, porosity, and vibration frequency significantly influence pore clogging. Notably, the double-layer structure effectively mitigates deep-seated clogging, while higher porosity and increased vibration frequency enhance the ingress and expulsion of clogging materials. A comparative analysis with existing literature's seepage experimental data validates the simulation model's accuracy, providing a theoretical framework for exploring pore clogging phenomena in porous media and optimizing the pore structure of pervious concrete.
