영아기 첫 자녀를 둔 맞벌이 부부의 부모교육 경험 및 요구

This study aimed at looking at the perceptions of double-income parents who have the first child in infancy on their parent education status and needs. To perform this study, 200 pairs of working couples who have 0~2 year old infants were selected. From June 2012 to October 2012. questionnaires were distributed through the nursery, workplace, working mom's cafes. The questionnaires were collected by mail, in writing, or e-mail. 173 pairs of the questionnaire were selected for the final study and the collected data were analyzed by frequency using SPSSWIN 18.0 program. The results of this study were as follows. First, as for the experiences of parent education, most of the parents participated in instructor-led lectures, and the most common content of parent education was on the knowledge and information of infant development. Second, the results showed that the parents wanted a customized parent education considering children’s birth order and age. Also, there was a higher demand on participating in off-line education and education in child-care centers. Third, the results found out that the parents highly required educational contents related to the effective communication and interaction with children, how to take care of infant’s sickness and illness, infant’s proper eating habit, and infant’s personality and social development.
