수출 제조기업의 지속가능 공급망 협력이 ESG 대응역량에 미치는 영향

초록

Drawing on the Dynamic Capabilities Theory, this study examines how ESG response capability is developed within Chinese export manufacturing firms and how it subsequently translates into sustainable competitive advantage under the tightening global sustainability regime. Using survey data collected from 382 manufacturing firms in Guangdong Province, China, the study employs PLS-SEM to empirically analyze the relationships among sustainable supply chain collaboration (supplier and customer collaboration), ESG response capability, and digital capability.The results indicate that both supplier collaboration and customer collaboration exert significant positive effects on ESG response capability, with customer collaboration showing a relatively stronger influence. ESG response capability has a significant positive impact on sustainable competitive advantage, confirming its strategic importance within the sustainability governance framework.Furthermore, digital capability strengthens the relationship between supplier collaboration and ESG response capability, as well as the relationship between ESG response capability and sustainable competitive advantage. In contrast, digital capability exhibits a negative moderating effect on the relationship between customer collaboration and ESG response capability. This suggests that the transmission mechanism of sustainability requirements within the supply chain may vary depending on firms’ levels of digital capability. By conceptualizing ESG response as an organizational dynamic capability and uncovering the combined effects of supply chain collaboration and digital capability on the formation of ESG capability and its transition into competitive advantage, this study provides meaningful academic contributions to the field.
