민간 공연예술단체의 자생력 강화를 위한 제언 -'판소리만들기 자'의 사례를 바탕으로-

초록

As culture and arts industries have grown into high value industries, the government and corporation have been extending financial support for such industries. However, in comparison to public arts organizations that receive consistent and stabilized support, private arts organizations remain in poor conditions without self-sustaining ability to support themselves. In order to become a true of culture, balanced growth between public and private arts sectors is crucial. Thus, this study aimed to understand the current state of domestic arts organizations, and to propose ways to strengthen self-sustaining power of private arts organizations by comprehending their issues and problems. For this purpose, ‘Pansori Project Za’ was selected as a successful case study amongst other private arts organizations to analyze its operation history; additionally, this study also interviewed the head of the organization. Though this method, this study was able to collect practical problems faced by private arts organizations. As a result, this study found that such organizations' self-sustaining power was hindered by ‘Lack of Internal Management Strategy’, ‘Bad Economic Conditions’, and ‘Limitations in Support from The Government and Corporations’. This study addressed methods to alleviate each of such concerns; the outcomes of this study will assist the government in establishing directions to provide systematic and stable support mechanisms for private arts organizations. Futhermore, it is also thought that the study will assist private arts organizations to make reasonable decisions within limited resources to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the organization management. Ultimately, it is expected that the study will aid the growth and invigoration of the domestic performance industry.
