Lately, due to the fast growing of digitization of knowledge in our society and the development of SNS, new forms of language contact, such as code switching, can be seen in SMS and smartphones’ messages. This research analyzes structural aspects of language contact between Japanese and Korean used in internet communities. The analysis centered on 926 examples of the use of Japanese ‘desu’ written in Hangeul and 165 examples of Korean ‘nida’ written in Katakana. The data was collected in two sites, Japanese ‘2ch’ and Korean ‘DC inside’ for a period of one year since 2012. Results can be summarized as below. (1) Two patterns of structures were observed: ‘separate structures pattern’ and ‘mixed structures pattern’. In this last one, we notice that ‘desu’ is bounded to the previous elements of the sentence forming a syntagmatic relation with them. In both patterns, Korean language structures are mainly used by learners or former learners of Japanese language. (2) There is an overuse of Japanese final particles with no correspondence in Korean grammar. The use of these final particles conveys some ‘Japaneseness’ to the sentence. (3) The use of ‘nida’ was seen in separate structures patterns. In this case, sentence elements ‘nida’ can be detached from the other elements of the sentence and form a paradigmatic relation with ‘desu’. It means that ‘nida’ and ‘desu’ can be replaced one by the other. (4) In some cases of Katakana-Korean, structures where ‘nida’ is added to Japanese sentences are observed. In such structures, ‘nida’ is inserted in the sentence and cannot be replaced by ‘desu’
