시뮬라크르 관점에서 본 발렌시아가 패션 디자인 연구

초록
The purpose of this study is to examine the aesthetics of original copying that destroys the fixed fashion norms that appear in Balenciaga fashion design from a Simulacr perspective. First, understand the concept and characteristics of Simulacr theory and discuss its relationship with Balenciaga design. Second, through the review of the Balenciaga collection, it categorizes the original, replicated design according to the creation and restructuring of various symbols. Third, it interprets the value of contemporary fashion by deriving Balenciaga design characteristics from a Simulacr perspective. Through this, we intend to illuminate the autonomous meaning creation and restructuring of contemporary fashion academically. As a result of the study, first, the fixed identity and class were dismantled through the fluidity of fashion codes, and the non-fashion object was converted into high-end symbols to establish an autonomous sign system. In addition, the existing norms were dismantled, the fashion code was restructured with a new combination of symbols, and fashion was expanded into a play space for meaning creation by breaking the boundaries of high culture and popular culture, and reality and virtuality. Finally, fashion was realized as a visual sign field that produces hyperreality by creating a surreal environment and space by fusing fantastic distortion and the boundary between reality and fiction in the collection. Through this, we want to understand that modern fashion is a discourse practice that composes reality and reproduces meaning through symbols in Simulacr society beyond simple style expressions, and provides a theoretical basis for exploring fashion as a socio-cultural sign system in the future.
