감염병과 인간 곤경의 양상 — 팡광타오(方光燾)의 <학질(瘧疾)>을 중심으로

초록

This paper argues that the difficult situation of human caused by infectious diseases through Malaria written by Fang Guangtao, and discuss the following two aspects. First, I examined the outbreak of malaria in the during the Republic of China era to understand the social problems that malaria caused in China at the time. This showed that infectious diseases have historically threatened human survival and caused a rapid decline in society and culture. Second, based on the above historical context, I argue that the difficult situation of human depicted in Malaria. Fang depicted the physical suffering of a rural woman with malaria, exposed the social vulnerability and harmful effects of superstition in rural China at the time, and try to approach human nature through the realistic portrayal of her emotional distress and maternal instincts caused by her isolation from family. Through this study, it is possible to discover Fang’s deep insights and perspective on Chinese society and human nature are reflected in his work.
