미군정기 재단법인 강도관 조선지부의 처리에 관한 연구

초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the Chosun branch of a foundation named Gangdogwan was treated during the period of the US Military Government which has not been discussed profoundly in advanced research in the perspective of institutional history and find out the meaning of it. As a study method, this author has analyzed and examined primary materials dealing with the Chosun branch of Gangdogwan intensively. The results of this study are as follows. The process that the United States Military Government authorities treated reverted properties according to the enforcement of the military legislations did contribute to laying the foundation of the authorities’ monopolistic rule about the physical education⋅sports groups. In the beginning of its rule, the United States Military Government protected Japanese’s private property rights and handled ‘the relatives’ as well in the process. Lee kyung-suk transformed the Chosun branch of Gangdogwan into a Korean corporation. Nationally, this means that it made the corporation and its properties public, and it is significant in that it marked a milestone in the development of Korea’s judo history.
