아버지의 양육참여가 어머니의 온정적 양육행동에 미치는 영향: 어머니의 양육스트레스와 결혼만족도의 이중매개효과

초록

This study examined the double mediating effects of maternal parenting stress and marital satisfaction on the relationship between fathers’ parenting involvement and mothers’ positive parenting behavior. Data from 1,593 father-mother pairs with four-year-old children were drawn from the fifth wave (2012) of the Panel Study on Korean Children (PSKC), conducted by the Korea Institute of Child Care and Education. SPSS 27.0 was used to conduct descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. The results revealed significant correlations among fathers’ parenting involvement, mothers’ positive parenting behavior, maternal parenting stress, and marital satisfaction. Moreover, fathers’ parenting involvement had both a direct effect and significant indirect effects, by reducing maternal parenting stress and increasing marital satisfaction, on mothers’ positive parenting behavior. These findings suggest that active paternal involvement can reduce maternal parenting stress and enhance marital satisfaction, fostering more positive maternal parenting behavior. This study highlights the importance of encouraging paternal involvement and emphasizes the need for counseling and support services aimed at alleviating mothers’ emotional burdens, thereby providing foundational data for the development of parental role enhancement programs.
