지아장커(贾樟柯)의 <플랫폼(站台)> (2000)에 나타난 영화 음악의 세 층위
초록
Jia Zhangke’s Platform(2000) captures the upheaval of China centering on the cultural performance group that worked around the Funyang in the 1980s. Various pieces of music are used in this work, and there are ‘Red songs’ to spread national ideology and popular songs at that time. The aesthetic effect of source music is used as a coordinate of historical time as a sociocultural code, but it shows the cultural hybridization of the young generation’s enthusiasm for adherence to tradition and changed trends. The film music of Platform uses source music and plays the role of setting the coordinates of historical time as a sociocultural code. Source music is used as a propaganda tool for national governing ideology through ‘Red songs’, revealing the hope of the future with the atmosphere of the Cultural Revolution. However, in contrast to the hope of the ‘Red songs’, the reality of the characters in the film at that time and the lack of perspective create an ironic situation. The popular song is actively used to express the reflection of the times and the inside of the characters. The popular song of Platform delivers the emotions of love and longing of the protagonist and also acts as a bridge between editing and the flow of scenes. And through the ‘Red Songs’ and the ironic situation of the main characters, the film represents the ‘broadly somber’ and ‘empty heroism’ inside the Chinese youth generation.
