다문화 정신건강 프로그램 참여경험 분석 - 결혼이주여성 당사자 관점에서

초록

The purpose of the study was to illustrate the experiences of the use of mental health services at multicultural service agencies from the perspective of marriage-immigrant women and to explore the nature and limitations of the programs. Twelve women who had immigrated for marriage and are working as a translator were interviewed, and data on their experiences of participating in such programs as a user and provider were collected and analyzed. The results revealed 9 topics and 36 themes in three areas: Perspective, structure, and quality of program. Participants’ experiences as a user and their observations as a provider suggested implications for conceptualization of mental health and intervention, program structuring according to the life situations of immigrants, and depth of program. Also suggested was the need for adopting a post modern paradigm to multicultrual mental health programs in a more assertive manner.
