Post-humanism, A study of the convergence and divergence of humans and machines

초록

This paper aims to illuminate artificial intelligence as a new kind of human being that seeks to emulate humans. The discourse surrounding the growing acceptance of AI as an “other” lacks rigorous logic. It is closer to a plausible fictional narrative than a scientific one. AI appears to have the same goals as humans. While AI and humans may achieve similar outcomes, their underlying logic and operational mechanisms are entirely different. AI can mimic humans, but humans have merely provided the initial clues for AI development. AI simply arrives at the same results through different means, making it a complete other of humanity. As humans transform into posthuman beings, they are increasingly required to engage in distributed cognition. In this process, humans and AI can form a cooperative relationship. Within this relationship, modern thought, which has shaped the discourse between humans and AI around control, undergoes a transformation. Imperfect humans have always become aware of their own incompleteness through others. As a result, history has shown that humans cannot control the world or others. Now, the other known as AI stands before humanity. By correcting both their own errors and those of AI, humans will gain a better understanding of themselves.
