박두진 시의 자연 공동체를 구축하는 형식적 특성과 그 현재적 의미

초록

Under the goal of shedding light on the present meanings of Park Du-jin's poetry, this study focused on the formal characteristics that made up the nature community in his poems. Making appearance usually in his early works, the nature community succeeds in building a community with harmony among specificity, abstractness, content, and form. The present study assumed that what his nature community sought after would lead to a religious community later. The important formal characteristics of his nature community include nature as a abstract space, the sun as the source of power to grant vitality to nature, the long and lively rhythmic sense through additional repetitions, the functions of punctuation marks including commas, orientation toward the listeners, and the imperative, suggestive, exclamatory, and questioning tones. They are important formal characteristics that make up the nature community established by Park, having close interactions with one another. His nature community also succeeds in building an abstract world based on the vigorous harmony of specific natural objects, thus holding a unique position in the history of contemporary poetry in Korea. The changing process of his poetic consciousness 'from nature through human beings to gods' did not happen in stages, but he gradually lacked a contemplation over the forms toward his later works, thus failing to secure as much vitality as in his early works. When examining the historicity and futurity of his poetry or its present meanings, one can still find its individual aspects in the vitality of nature community in his early works and the completion of symbols based on the harmony of specificity and abstractness. The present study concluded that when certain inclination in the harmony and balance of the two led to the victory of ideas, his poetry did not show as much life force and vitality as before.
