AI와 디지털 전환 시대의 음악 교육의 과제와 전망

초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the changes in music creation and listening environments resulting from the introduction of AI technology, and to present the challenges and integrated directions for music education in the digital transformation era by offering a balanced perspective on its educational impact. Methods: This study employed a meta-analytic approach that combined a literature review on AI-based music platforms with qualitative analysis of actual educational cases. First, prior research and curriculum documents related to AI-based music platforms were examined. Then, qualitative analysis was conducted based on classroom case studies and student response data from real school settings. The analysis focused primarily on 'Soundtrap', a leading online composition tool, and 'MuseNet', an AI-based music generation system, with particular emphasis on the educational implications of technology integration. Results: The integration of technology brought about by the introduction of AI enhances accessibility to composition and listening activities, encourages active learner participation, and provides an environment that accommodates diverse learning styles. However, excessive reliance on technological tools may hinder learners’ critical thinking and creativity, making careful instructional design and contextual control essential for effective educational integration. Conclusion: AI-based music tools contribute to increasing accessibility to creative processes and revitalizing educational settings; however, their use has been shown to carry the risk of weakening artistic context and learners’ critical reception skills. Therefore, music education policymakers and teachers must aim for a balanced integration of technology and art, and it is necessary to redefine curricula, teaching methods, and teacher competencies to establish an effective new direction for music education in the digital transformation era.
