초록

Dating violence survivors show cognitive impairment such as attentional bias. The modified Stroop task and the dot-probe task have been used to examine attentional bias towards trauma-related cues in PTSD. However, these tasks provide only a snapshot of bias processing, as attentional bias is measured by reaction time. Few PTSD studies have actually investigated time-course in attentional bias. The present study is designed to directly examine time-course characteristics of selective attention in dating violence survivors using eye tracking technology and virtual reality (VR). Using VR, we will present trauma-related cues in a realistic situation. Participants will be instructed to search for an object in a supermarket scene. We expect that the dating violence group will attend more to the trauma-related cues than will the non-violent control group. Also, we expect the dating violence group will show greater memory for details about the conflict between the man and woman, than the other two fights between same sex pairs.
