88서울올림픽경기대회 관련 남북체육회담에 관한 연구: 제1차 로잔회의를 중심으로

A Study on the South-North Sport Talks in relation to the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games: Centering on the first Lausanne Conference

초록

The IOC, which was hoping successful hosting of the 24th Olympic Games, proposed a South-North Sport Talk. South Korea accepted the IOC's proposal under the judgment that participating in the meeting would be helpful for it and North Korea accepted the proposal with a view to causing confusion to South Korea, which was preparing to host the Olympic Games. South Korea has set the objection against co-hosting of the Olympic Games as a basic position for the talks and has laid out detailed policies on the distribution of hosting of preliminary rounds of some events, the passage of the competition courses through North Korea regions, and procedures for the opening and closing ceremonies. On the contrary, North Korea's basic position was for co-hosting of the Olympic Games and the organization of single teams of South Korea and North Korea for participation in the Olympic Games. The first Lausanne meeting, which was held over two days, was concluded at the level of understanding the real intentions of the IOC, South Korea, and North Koreas on the hosting of the Olympic Games.
