교육환경 변화에 따른 대형강의실의 공간활용도 개선을 위한 연구

A Study on Improving Space Utilization in Large Lecture Halls in Response to Changes in the Educational Environment

초록

As the paradigm of university education changes, the demand for complex spaces that support various learning methods such as study, rest, and discussion is increasing rather than traditional theory-centered large classrooms. Based on this, this study attempted to examine the space utilization of large classrooms in universities where the educational environment has changed and to suggest ways to increase it. To this end, C University located in the metropolitan area in Korea analyzed the operation data of the last four semesters, observed them on the spot, and proposed improvement measures. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that traditional large classrooms are underutilized due to very little demand for their size, and accordingly, we propose the integrated application of efficient compartmentalization, variable flexibility, and infrastructure opening as strategies to realize hybrid learning spaces. Although this study has limitations in analyzing specific universities, it is significant in that it suggested data-based design directions to regenerate underutilized educational spaces in higher education institutions.
