VS-FCM:Validity-guided Spatial Fuzzy -Means Clustering for Image Segmentation

초록
In thispaperanewfuzzyclusteringapproachtothecolorclusteringproblemhasbeenproposed.Todealwiththe limitations ofthetraditionalFCMalgorithm,weproposeaspatialhomogeneity-basedFCMalgorithm.Moreover,the cluster validityindexisemployedtoautomaticallydeterminethenumberofclustersforagivenimage.Werefertothis method asVS-FCMalgorithm.Theeffectivenessoftheproposedmethodisdemonstratedthroughvariousclustering examples.
