초록
Purpose: This study aimed to explore and analyze the effects of peer feedback among university students majoring in dance. Methods: A qualitative case study design was employed. Six dance-major students from a university in the Seoul metropolitan area participated. Data were collected through two rounds of in-depth interviews and descriptive surveys. The data were then coded, categorized, and analyzed to identify key themes. Results: Two main themes emerged: ‘peer behavior’ and ‘feedback effects.’ Peer behavior revealed that peer feedback enhanced intrinsic motivation, improved self-awareness, and promoted growth through psychological stability and positive interactions based on mutual trust. Feedback effects showed that peer feedback contributed to skill development, complemented the limitations of instructor feedback, and supported overcoming performance slumps. However, in sensitive contexts, negative effects such as misunderstandings or inhibition caused by nonverbal communication were observed. Conclusion: Peer feedback in dance education functions beyond technical guidance, influencing learners’ motivation, psychological stability, social relationships, and sustained learning. These findings offer practical insights for the effective implementation of dance education and the design of learner-centered instruction.
