예술고등학교 교육과정 개선방향 연구 - 연극ㆍ영화과를 중심으로

초록

Arts High Schools are specialized institutions established to provide professional education for students with artistic talents. They are systematically operated based on national-level curricula and individual school visions, playing a vital role in cultivating creative and specialized talents. As of 2024, there are 29 Arts High Schools across South Korea, but only four schools offer the Curriculum for Theater and Film Education, and the number increases to eight when including similar departments. Compared to the 22 schools specializing in music, 24 in visual arts, and 18 in dance, the availability of theater and film programs is relatively limited. This indicates the need to examine the current status and curricula of these programs to support their development and expansion. This study investigates the educational objectives, school visions, and curricula of theater and film departments within Arts High Schools in South Korea. The 2024 curriculum was analyzed based on the core competencies of the national curriculum. Additionally, a comparison and analysis of the 2010 and 2024 curricula were conducted for Kaywon Arts High School and Anyang Arts High School, as records from 2010 were available for these institutions. Based on these findings, the study proposes new subjects that reflect the core competencies of the 2022 revised curriculum and align with social trends. These proposed subjects integrate digital tools, social issues, humanities, and diverse media, emphasizing theoretical, practical, production, and critique components. By leveraging the strengths of theater and film as comprehensive arts, the study highlights the potential of Digital Arts Education and Convergence Education to cultivate future-oriented talents. The purpose of this study is to present developmental directions for the Curriculum for Theater and Film Education, enabling students to enhance their convergent competencies and creative thinking. Through these efforts, this research aims to establish a foundational framework for the continuous growth and improvement of theater and film programs within Arts High Schools.
