韓·中 妓女詩歌 比較 考察 - 黃眞伊와 蘇小小를 中心으로 -

Korea and China have had close ties with each other since ancient times, thanks to their close geopolitical proximity and cultural overlap through Confucianism and Chinese characters. Though the two countries share certain universals (similarities) due to their close ties, each has its own special features and characteristics due to their unique situations. These similarities and unique traits not only apply to the politics and social systems of each country, but also to their. In particular, this paper focuses on the literature of courtesans in both countries. First, the two countries a special practice of, called ginyeo. Therefore, it is possible to compare the literature of ginyeo in Korea with those of China. It is especially warranted since people in both countries share poetry written in Chinese characters. Though the commonality of ginyeo and poetry written in Chinese characters may make comparison between the two countries possible, the literature composed by these women displays the uniqueness of their homes to some extent. This may be attributed to the special features of people living in different East Asian countries, as each has their own ethnic features. This paper studies the similarities and differences in the literature of ginyeo between the two countries. As it is difficult to compare all literary works written by ginyeo, I would like to focus on the lives and works of Hwang Jini, a representative courtesan of Korea and Su Xiaoxiao, a representative courtesan of China, who lived in Hangzhou. This paper will deal with the lives of the two women, their book writing backgrounds, and the comparative analysis of their literary works. This study contains the implication that the literature of both countries share certain qualities, as members of the East Asian community, in addition to the unique features of each. Importantly, Su Xiaoxiao was chosen to be compared with Hwang Jini, as the international academic gathering for this study was held in Hangzhou, China. During the presentation schedule, I had a chance to visit the location where Su Xiaoxiao wrote her poetry. Discussion with the local scholars greatly aided me in acquiring a better perspective on her life and work.
