초록

This study aimed to identify how life skills gained from sports activities among college student athletes affect perceived performance. Participants collected 246 university student athletes (184 males, 62 females) belonging to the Korea Sports Association in 2019. The collected data were explored to verify the validity and reliability of Exploratory Factor Analysis, Cronbach’s α, Confirmatory Factor Analysis and survey tools using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 25.0 programs, and the differences were verified through independent t-test and one-way ANOVA. In addition, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were conducted to examine the relationship between variables. The results of this study are as follows. First, there were differences in life skills, time management, social skills and perceived performance according to gender. Second, life skills teamwork, emotional skills, social skills, problem solving and decision-making and perceived performance were different according to sports. Third, life skill teamwork showed difference according to athletic experience. Fourth, both life skill and perceived performance had a positive correlation. Fifth, life skill goal setting, time management, problem solving and decision making affect perceived performance. These findings confirm that Life Skill is positively related to perceived performance. In the future, they will be able to provide information on the development and application of lifeskill programs, and will help student athletes live better lives.
