중국 시장에서 개방형 혁신과 성과에 대한 4차 산업혁명 전자기술의 조절 효과: 빅데이터와 인공지능(AI)

초록
Purpose: This study aimed to verify whether open innovation positively impacts the performance of companies. Accordingly, a survey was administered to 381 companies in the Chinese market. Additionally, it aimed to determine whether implementing big data analysis and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies: the two of the most important technologies in Industry 4.0, has a positive moderating effect on the relationship between open innovation and performance. Composition/Logic: After verifying the statistical validity and reliability of variables utilized in the first and second research models to achieve the two goals, we employed a simple regression model to verify the relationship between open innovation and performance. Additionally, we implemented moderate or hierarchical regression models to ascertain the moderating effect of big data analysis and AI technologies, respectively. Findings: In the first stage, we identified that open innovation positively affected the performance of companies. Additionally, AI technologies had a positive moderating effect on the relationship between open innovation and performance, while big data analysis did not. Originality/Value: This research indicates a novel direction for studies on open innovation and Industry 4.0 technologies which are not prevalent in existing studies by linking the two. We suggest that firms intending to improve performance should invest in open innovation and to implement AI technologies simultaneously.
