초록

This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the global photography industry outlook to 2035, focusing on the impact of generative AI. Over the past few decades, the photography industry has been transformed by the digital revolution, the rise of smartphones, and the rapid spread of social media. More recently, generative AI has emerged as a disruptive force, fundamentally changing how images are created and consumed. This paper examines the future prospects of five key sectors(commercial, consumer, editorial/news, fine art, and applied photography)identifying key trends and technological shifts within each segment. Generative AI is expected to drive significant changes, especially in commercial photography, where it can reduce costs and enhance creative flexibility. It also presents new opportunities for fine art and editorial photography, allowing artists to push creative boundaries. Additionally, the study discusses the skills and strategies required for photographers to thrive in this evolving landscape. In conclusion, the photographers of the future must adapt as hybrid creators, integrating technical skills, artistic creativity, and strategic thinking to remain competitive in a rapidly changing industry.
