인터넷 도입 이후 10년 : 한국경제에 미친 영향과 시사점

초록

Recognized as a distinct sector and as the underlying infrastructure for other economic activities, IT industry has been grown with a close connection with the Korean economy as a whole. In particular, Internet has exerted enormous economic, social, cultural and political influences upon Korea and worldwide since its introduction in 1994. Nonetheless, existing researches mostly deals with the contribution of IT to the economic efficiency in a sporadic manner at home and abroad. In this context, this paper seeks to analyze the national economic impact and implication of the Internet or IT in a broad sense, from the dual perspectives of economic efficiency and equity, through a comprehensive survey of the existing researches.
