관점으로서의 기호학과 일상에 대한 일고찰

초록

The aim of this paper is to consider semiology as a point of view and study of daily life. This paper is based on the diagram of the double signification system presented by Barthes in Mythology. One of the important influences of Barthes thought is that regardless of the type or materiality of the object, it provided a formula to reduce the object to signification and to easily understand it. We refer to Lefebvre’s study to understand the epistemological definition of daily life. Lefebvre presented the heterogeneity and complexity of daily life more clearly than anyone else and showed that preliminary work to reduce the daily life to the epistemological level is essential to study everyday life. Barthes was one of the scholars who most accurately responded to this need. He saw that the huge mass of daily life can be explained through two stages of signification. He attempted to uncover the whole of the signification by assuming the level of the language-object, but Baudrillard excluded this level from the daily life signification. Simulation of Baudrillard begins immediately the signification at the level of sign. In other words, it is assumed that the signification starts immediately in meta-language. Baudrillard’s discussion in The Consumer Society clearly shows that reality no longer exists, and that a society in which only signs are exchanged is a real life.
