Toward the Design and Implementation of Content Protection Model in UCC(User Created Content) Environments

Today, as the innovative technologies related to web 2.0 and multimedia are being developed, UCC (User Created Content) user participations are also increasing. The Ministry of Information and Telecommunication in Korea said, more than 83.5 percent of Internet users have experienced UCC. According to the UCC's rapidly increasing, there are many users have more chance to join the Internet computing environments not only improved the new style's e-marketing but also create the new business modeling Against the merits of UCC, various social problems are incurring, for example, infringement of copyright, flood of inappropriate content, invasion and infringement of privacy, etc. In this paper, we are making a suggestion of the trusted CPM (Content Protection Model) in order to solve these problems. The CPM Architecture is composed of 3 mechanisms such as 1.DTM (Distribution Trusted Mechanism), 2. CIM (Content Integrity Mechanism), and 3. CPM (Copyright Protection Mechanism). We also proposed the ways to protect the Internet environment from harmful content in order for the developer and engineers involved in real system environment to easily understand the program. We believe that the CPM can be utilized to prevent maliciously distributed content and protect the copyright of UCC content.
