영아기 어머니의 어린이집 이용 만족도와 양육행동 간의 관계: 양육스트레스의 매개효과

초록

Objective: This study examines the effect of parental satisfaction with infant daycare center use on mother’s parenting behavior and the mediating role of parenting stress. Methods: Using data from the second wave of the Korean Early Childhood Education and Care Panel (KICCE), 1,097 mothers of two-year-olds were analyzed with PROCESS Macro Model 4. Results: Higher satisfaction with daycare center use was significantly associated with lower levels of parenting stress. Parenting stress, in turn, was significantly associated with parenting behavior. However, daycare satisfaction did not have a significant direct effect on parenting behavior. Bootstrapping analysis showed that the indirect effect of daycare satisfaction on parenting behavior through parenting stress was significant, suggesting a mediating role of parenting stress. Conclusions: These findings highlight the importance of improving daycare quality and parent-teacher communication, while also promoting positive parenting programs to strengthen parental coping and emotional well-being.
