초록

We demonstrate spectroscopic and magnetic properties of octylsulfonyl phthalocyanines including Ni, Cu, Co and Zn central metal ions. The free base octylthio Pc have the Q band split due to D-2h symmetry. The Q band of the octylsulfonyl Pc was blue-shifted compared to octylthio Pc due to the electron-withdrawing substituents, lowering the HOMO energy level which leads to an increase of the HOMO-LUMO band gap energy. The B (Soret) and Q band of NiPc shows more blue-shifted than the other MPcs due to stronger electronegativity (E-N/r(i)) of the nickel central metal ion. The strong fluorescence peak of ZnPc was observed due to fully occupied d-orbital electronic configuration of Zn2+(d(10)). CuPc[II] and CoPc[III], show broad EPR signals, Delta H-pp = 146 G and 277 G, respectively due to the intermolecular spin-spin interactions.
