초록

Mayakovsky's works after the revolution were the succession and reverberation of Futurism and an organic reflection of the development of Russian avant-garde, which shifted from Suprematism to Constructivism in the 1920s. The book was a literary tradition that had to be renewed for this Futurist poet who had close ties with politics, society, culture, and art at the time. Also, for Mayakovsky, who used painting as a basis for poetic experiments, book was the main medium for the realization of synthetic art. Mayakovsky's Futurist book work served as an important foundation for posters, advertisements, and propaganda, created in collaboration with Constructivists in the 1920s. This study examines how Mayakovsky's book combines and embodies the functional aspects of the creation of objects (veshch) and the construction of reality after the revolution. The formal specificity of the Constructivist book that reflects the creation of everyday life and the construction of life is reflected through signs, fonts, and illustrations (photomontage). Thus, by comparing and analyzing the forms and contents of the signs and visual images of About This and For the Voice, which were produced by the typical Constructivists A. Rodchenko and El Lissitzky in 1923, I will present various aspects of development that combine life and art.
