Purpose : As the environment changes, the number of accidents posing threats to human life and safety is increasing. Identifying risk factors is crucial for accident prevention. By identifying and analyzing accident risk-factors, the goal is to mitigate them and establish a safer environment, thus preventing accidents through policy development. Methods : This study analyzed the risk factors encountered in everyday life in South Korea using the photovoice method. Seven participants participated in the study. The researchers captured photographs, engaged in discussions to select them, and discussed their opinions and experiences. Results : At the end of the discussions, five themes emerged: “Negligence of the management system,” “Not installed Safety-assurance devices,” “Violation of safety rules,” “Engaging in risky behaviors,” and “Potential accident risks.” The study’s significance lies in the utilization of photovoice to analyze the various risks that can occur in everyday life. By exploring different types of incidents and issue, this study sought to understand various aspects of safety and the findings can be used to enhance safety measures and explore policy improvements. Conclusion : The findings offer valuable insights for enhancing safety through education and prevention strategies. Additionally, it highlights the pressing need for proactive measures to address systemic shortcomings and promote a culture of safety awareness.
